Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Sugarloaf. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of culinary and food service personnel to ensure efficient and timely food production.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistency and quality are prioritized in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
- Cost Management: Review departmental costs, including food, labor, and miscellaneous expenses, and implement corrective actions to meet established goals.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, including food and supplies, to maintain proper stock levels and minimize waste.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in all kitchen areas, adhering to ServSafe guidelines and ensuring compliance with health department regulations.
- Purchasing and Receiving: Oversee the purchasing, receiving, and storage of food and supplies to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Team Development: Foster a positive and productive team environment, providing guidance and support to staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Experience: At least 2 years of previous culinary experience, with a preference for candidates with 2 or more years in a culinary lead role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as inventory control and cost management principles.
