The Role:

Entegris is seeking a highly skilled New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to join our team in Bedford, MA. As an NPI Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the successful scale-up of products and processes from development to manufacturing. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest levels of quality and manufacturability, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the successful transition of products and processes from early development to product release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process documentation to support product launch and provide process instructions for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Manage customer samples and product qualification builds, working closely with the operations team to provide special instructions as required.
  • Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures, analyzing and auditing processes to make recommendations on safety, quality, cost, waste reductions, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development engineering and operations teams to drive the successful transition of products and processes from early development to product release.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including process instructions, work instructions, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a production HVM setting, with a strong understanding of product introduction and stage gate processes.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of product introduction with use of a stage gate process.
  • Ability to work in a controlled environment on a production floor with long periods of standing, as well as in an office setting with long periods of computer interface.
  • Experience with use of an ERP system such as SAP, and analytical and software tools (Minitab, Excel, SolidWorks PDM).
