About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Placer Village, a 76-unit affordable housing community in Placerville, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, and grounds.
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
  • Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market-ready status in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
  • Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.
Requirements
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in HVAC, basic electrical, basic plumbing, carpentry, minor fixes, and appliances.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Availability for on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical training.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • CAMT certification.
