About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in International Affairs and Data Science. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of our undergraduate and graduate programs in International Affairs and Data Science, and to establish a strong research program in one of the following areas: International Security, International Political Economy, or Global Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in International Affairs and Data Science, including introductory and advanced courses in data analytics, international security, and global development.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, including publishing in top-tier journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Contribute to the development of our undergraduate and graduate programs, including curriculum design and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Institute to advance our research and teaching mission.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in International Affairs, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong research and teaching record, including publications and teaching awards.
  • Ability to design and teach curricula that are responsive to a diverse student body.
  • Ability to mentor and assist students interested in pursuing graduate education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching data analytics to non-specialists.
  • Proven record of conducting rigorous policy-relevant research.
  • Ability to engage students in experiential learning activities and pedagogy that support student success.
