Position Overview:

The Parking Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the upkeep and cleanliness of parking facilities. This position is responsible for the preventive maintenance of parking areas, including the installation and upkeep of signage and the arrangement of cones, barricades, and signs for special events on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operations.
  • Coordinate activities related to campus construction that may affect parking availability.
  • Maintain accurate records for the division and process work orders effectively.
  • Ensure that departmental equipment and supplies are well-maintained and readily available.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma is mandatory.

Experience: Previous supervisory experience in maintenance is required, along with a solid understanding of mechanical equipment and tools.

Skills: Candidates must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License, have a working knowledge of mechanical tools, demonstrate maintenance expertise, and exhibit strong communication, writing, and supervisory skills. Basic computer proficiency is also necessary.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position within the Parking and Transit Services Office, contributing to the efficient management of parking services at the University of Tennessee.
