Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of guest accommodations. This position involves inspecting and assisting with the cleaning of all guest rooms, supporting department staff to ensure timely task completion, and fostering a positive work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the formulation and execution of business strategies that align with the hotel’s core beliefs and values.
2. Develop and uphold housekeeping protocols and procedures.
3. Oversee the housekeeping department's operations, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas consistently meet cleanliness standards.
4. Manage departmental budgets related to labor, payroll, and supplies, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
5. Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public spaces to maintain high standards.
6. Determine staffing requirements based on business forecasts and schedule employees accordingly.
7. Implement ongoing training programs for staff, focusing on safety and operational protocols.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for both employees and guests.
9. Supervise inventory management, purchasing, and cost control for cleaning supplies and linens.
10. Collaborate with the Front Office Manager and Director of Engineering to coordinate room availability and maintenance.
11. Engage in weekly meetings to discuss operational needs and strategies.
12. Foster employee engagement through effective recruitment, training, and performance management practices.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Housekeeping Manager contributes significantly to achieving the hotel’s operational and financial objectives while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
