Position Overview:
Cragun Corporation is seeking a skilled Banquet Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Banquet Chef plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of all banquet and catering services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in food preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) daily, noting any necessary adjustments.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation.
- Establish daily priorities and assign production tasks to the culinary team.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear guidance to staff.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and events team, as well as upper management in food and beverage.
- Assist in creating weekly schedules in line with budgetary guidelines for the banquet kitchen staff.
- Develop and innovate new banquet menus, including preparation, testing, and tasting of new dishes.
- Support the Executive Chef in the recruitment, training, and development of banquet kitchen personnel.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated culinary experience in a high-volume setting, with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and preparation techniques.
- Awareness of current culinary trends and practices.
- Exceptional leadership and motivational abilities.
