Advanced Specialty Care is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team.
As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical claims. You will be responsible for all aspects of the billing cycle, from claim submission to payment posting and resolution of any outstanding issues.
Responsibilities:- Process medical claims electronically and ensure accuracy of coding (CPT and ICD-10).
- Monitor insurance payments and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements and balances due.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve denials and appeals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Stay current on industry regulations and best practices in medical billing.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a medical billing role.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management software.
- Strong understanding of third-party billing procedures.
- Medical Billing certification is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
