Assistant Teacher Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team at Women In Need, Inc. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $20.60 per hour.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality childcare services to families in need. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting the development of young children and will work closely with our experienced staff to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of childcare services.
  • Maintain accurate records of child progress and participate in regular review meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful team culture by demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • A valid first aid certification and willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.
  • A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for supporting marginalized communities.
