Job Overview

Salary: $13.50/hour

Position Summary:

The role involves organizing and displaying pre-sorted apparel from designated bins. Employees will utilize a workstation equipped with a variety of hangers to prepare clothing for sale. The process includes selecting items from the bins, inspecting them for quality, and arranging them on hangers according to specified categories, pricing, and sizes. Continuous engagement in this process is expected throughout the work shift, with direct reporting to the Team Lead or Assistant Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately clock in and out using an electronic device, either independently or with assistance.
  • Retrieve clothing items from designated bins.
  • Examine garments for any defects such as tears, stains, or missing buttons.
  • Select the appropriate hanger and affix the clothing securely.
  • Organize the clothing on the display rack by category, price, and size.
  • Label the display rack and transport items to the point of sale station.
  • Achieve or surpass daily productivity targets.

Essential Skills:

  1. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  2. Focus and commitment to task completion.
  3. Adaptability to changing work demands.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of elementary-level education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Capacity to make sound judgment calls.
  • Ability to maintain concentration and follow through on tasks.
  • Competence in understanding and executing instructions.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with guidance available from supervisors.
  • Position can be learned through hands-on experience and direct supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must possess satisfactory vision.
  • Ability to stand, push, bend, stoop, and pull for extended periods.
  • Willingness to learn to operate a pallet jack.

Work Environment:

  • Typical lighting and production area conditions.
  • Exposure to some dust and debris from incoming donations.
  • Workspace may be limited by necessary equipment and materials.
  • Movement should not be restricted; employees are responsible for maintaining a clean workspace.
  • No apparent fire or safety hazards.
  • Aisles must be kept clear at all times.
