Job Title: Early Learning Center Assistant Teacher

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and families? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Learning Center Assistant Teacher to join our team at Hope House Colorado.

Job Summary:

The Early Learning Center Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for young children to learn and grow. As a member of our team, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement effective curriculum plans, manage classroom activities, and provide responsive care to children.

Responsibilities:
  • Model positive teacher-child interactions and assist with implementing effective child guidance techniques.
  • Assist with daily routines, including distributing and collecting supplies, keeping attendance records, and maintaining classroom cleanliness.
  • Support the classroom teacher with daily activities, preparing curriculum, and supervising children in the classroom and at recess.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by being assigned to different classrooms and ages of children to ensure appropriate teacher-child ratios.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, ensuring the health and well-being of children.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the classroom teacher to support the learning and development of children.
  • Provide consistent, nurturing, and responsive interactions with each child using positive techniques.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance individual skills and provide high-quality early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • Early childhood coursework, CDA, or degree (preferred) or equivalent experience working with young children.
  • At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings (preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and volunteers to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
