Emergency Clinician

Job Summary:
United Counseling Services is seeking a skilled Emergency Clinician to provide clinical services to mental health and/or substance use clients. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and two years of related work experience. Professional clinical licensure in the field of specialty is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and brief, solution-focused counseling to individuals and families with mental health and/or substance use crises.
- Coordinate services with other agencies and providers, and facilitate appropriate referrals for other services when necessary.
- Provide mental health and/or substance use consultation to the community, area agencies, the professional community, and/or schools as required.
- Provide concurrent case management services on an as needed basis, including service coordination with other agencies and services, collateral contacts with other family members or significant others in the client's life, and telephone support to clients or collaterals.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Two years of related work experience.
- Professional clinical licensure in the field of specialty.
- Valid Driver's License.
Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to provide services to clients in crisis. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
