About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Care Professional to join our team at Waterway Dental Care. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care and ensure patient safety.

  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology, such as iTero 3D scanners and digital photography.

  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.

  • Utilize Dentrix software for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient information.

  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA and CDC guidelines.

  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient practice.

  • Collaborate with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.

  • If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.

  • Dentrix or other dental software experience.

  • Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

  • The ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.

  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
