Job Summary

We are seeking an Occupational Health Nurse Leader to join our growing Health Services team at our Louisville, KY location. This role will report directly to the Regional Nurse Manager and will be responsible for providing nursing treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as assisting in case management for prolonged or complex cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical screenings such as drug and alcohol testing, vision exams, blood pressure checks, audiograms, respirator exams, and spirometry testing.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines related to occupational health and safety.
  • Interact with employees, line management, safety teams, plant management, and healthcare providers on health and fitness-for-duty issues.
  • Work independently, recognizing when consultation with a physician is necessary.
  • Implement on-site medical surveillance and drug screening programs.
  • Collaborate with EHS regarding medical surveillance and clearance, as well as hazard assessments.
  • Liaise between employees and managers regarding health issues and restrictions, while maintaining confidential employee medical information.

Requirements:

  • RN license from the state Board of Nursing.
  • 3-5 years' experience in occupational health.
  • Current NIOSH Spirometry certification.
  • CAOHC certification.
  • Knowledge of fields relevant to occupational health nursing, including substance abuse, Workers' Compensation, OSHA, toxicology, epidemiology, and disability case management.
  • Skills: vision testing, spirometry, audiometry, urinalysis, EKG, drug screen collection, and Breath Alcohol testing (BAT), venipuncture, immunizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Advance Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse.
  • Knowledge of Cority, ODG Guidelines, Workday, and Kronos.

Estimated Salary Range: $93,184 - $145,600 per year.
