Job Summary

As a Clinical Psychologist with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, you will play a critical role in providing behavioral health assessments and guidance to support the agency's employee medical process. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to contribute comprehensive guidance and furnish expert consultation on behavioral health issues related to deployment and employee wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments for civilian employees scheduled to deploy and employees in workroles that require periodic psychological assessments as a condition of employment.
  • Develop and implement a civilian resiliency program that aligns with the current NGA holistic Wellness Program.
  • Provide behavioral science expertise and guidance to detect, deter, and mitigate personnel behaviors that may harm or undermine NGA's assets, critical infrastructure, sensitive information, and mission accomplishment.
  • Collaborate with physical health providers and the NGA Medical Advisor to provide feedback on an employee's fitness to serve, in accordance with all privacy regulations.
  • Conduct pre and post-deployment assessments for civilian employees; implement medical services processes and procedures relating to reporting on fitness to serve; support the Employee Assistance Program providers with follow-up counseling as needed.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling or School Psychology from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and must have completed an APA-accredited Doctoral Internship Program.
  • Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
