Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Professional to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners. As a Medical Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team in a fast-paced dermatology office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, assist with preparing patients for exams, and ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures, providing support and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Perform extractions, injections, and other patient procedures as needed, while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Collect and process lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments as required.
  • Educate patients on medical instructions, respond to patient questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Document all medical instructions given to patients, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies to maintain a clean and efficient environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office, with prior dermatology experience preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of medical dermatology terms, CPT, and ICD-10 coding.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Bilingual speaker preferred, with proficiency in Spanish.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a well-lit medical office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work required. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion in all interactions.
