Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Daybreak Foods. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our poultry production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and direction to employees, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Animal Welfare and Safety: Ensure that all animal welfare practices and standards are upheld, and that employees are aware of and adhere to these practices.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the staff, including monitoring the completion and accuracy of daily chore sheets, and ensuring that equipment is functioning properly.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure that all products meet the required standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Collect and analyze data, and create reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the poultry industry, with a degree in a related field (such as agriculture or business) preferred.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of poultry production practices, animal welfare standards, and safety procedures.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions.
