Job Summary:

The Sanitation position at Hen Haven LLC is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the processing plant. This includes cleaning equipment, facilities, and surrounding areas, as well as ensuring that eggs are handled properly to maintain quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, facilities, and surrounding areas
  • Ensure eggs are handled properly to maintain quality
  • Comply with all USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, Safety Programs, Biosecurity Policies and Procedures, and Food Defense Programs
  • Track product inventories: Cleaning supplies and Chemicals
  • Schedule regular cleaning of all facility surfaces
  • Immediately report any mechanical problems or poor quality conditions to Supervisor or Maintenance staff
  • Resolve as many immediately-correctable issues as possible in the course of his/her normal daily activities
  • Help others where needed
  • Value your safety and the safety of your co-workers
  • Follow all safety rules and conditions
  • Report all unsafe conditions to the plant supervisor immediately
  • Understand how to safely operate the equipment in your area
  • Assist in creating a One-Team environment by communicating effectively with all plant supervision and staff
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Prior egg grading machine experience an plus but not mandatory
  • Reading and comprehensive skills necessary to follow instructions, and document
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to twist and bend
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time on different surfaces, including concrete
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to reach and lift above the head
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
