As a Residential Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health needs in a 24/7 community-based adult residence.
Job Summary:The Residential Specialist will work closely with the treatment team and community agencies to provide wrap-around support for residents, promoting independence, skill acquisition, and symptom management. This role requires a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or education/counseling from an accredited college or university, as well as a valid driver's license, automobile with liability insurance, and a clean background and driving record check.
Key Responsibilities:- Support clients in developing skills for living independently
- Assist clients with taking steps toward their wellness and recovery goals
- Support clients in the residential and community settings
- Participate in direct 1:1 and group activities
- Help clients with apartment maintenance
- Maintain appropriate and accurate documentation
- Ensure effective and thorough communication with the treatment team
- Knowledge of mental health/therapeutic interventions
- Ability to climb stairs and stay physically active throughout the day
