Compensation Details:
Estimated weekly earnings of approximately $2602.00, with an hourly rate ranging from $31.00 to $36.00, depending on shift length. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on eligibility and seasonal adjustments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures for patients across all age groups to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.
  • Modify procedures to achieve specific diagnostic outcomes under the supervision of a radiologist.
  • Ensure compliance with medical imaging standards, policies, and procedures while performing diagnostic tests.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in diagnostic imaging and radionuclide therapy.
  • Manage scheduling, ordering of radiopharmaceuticals, and patient preparation protocols.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and maintain accurate documentation of all procedures.
  • Uphold quality care standards throughout procedures, adhering to radiation protection guidelines.
  • Conduct equipment quality control and maintain detailed records of quality assurance.
  • Comply with all regulations related to radioactive materials and safety documentation.
  • Possess the skills necessary for obtaining lab specimens and conducting bedside testing in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of equipment operations and perform troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, checking and stocking supplies as necessary.
  • Handle radioactive materials responsibly and fulfill all documentation requirements.
  • Provide support within the Nuclear Medicine/PET Department to meet patient needs and expectations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring fellow technologists and students, promoting a collaborative learning environment.
  • Efficiently manage patient flow and documentation to enhance patient care and throughput.
Qualifications
  • Licenses/Certifications: CPR/BLS, State License for Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Illinois
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift between 50-100 lbs
