Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Cardiac, General, and Special Nuclear Medicine procedures in a comprehensive teaching institution.
  • Operate specialized Nuclear Medicine scanners to obtain dynamic, planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT images for physician use.
  • Prepare, measure, and administer diagnostic and therapeutic isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, managing radioactive shipments and records in compliance with standards.
  • Conduct consultations with patients and gather information from referring physicians for scan interpretation.
  • Administer radioactive isotopes and position patients for procedures.
  • Operate and manage nuclear medicine equipment and systems to produce optimal studies.
  • Evaluate physician orders, and coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate studies.
  • Organize and conduct procedures independently, maintaining a clean and well-stocked work area.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and report issues as necessary, maintaining state and NRC records.
  • Communicate with patients and family to explain procedures and reduce anxieties.
  • Ensure proper identification and preparation of patients for scans, adhering to sterile techniques.
  • Perform quality control on scanners and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist patients with the scanning process, ensuring accurate positioning for quality imaging.
  • Review images for quality assurance and manage data in the PACS system.
  • Oversee inventory for Nuclear Medicine procedures and maintain related clerical duties.
  • Support continuous quality improvement efforts and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Stay current with Nuclear Medicine procedures and equipment through journals and educational programs.
  • Attend mandatory department and educational meetings.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Registered or registry eligible and in good standing by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
