Job Summary:
The Patient Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely to and from diagnostic areas and patient care units. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in managing the flow of equipment and supplies throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from diagnostic areas, including Radiology, Cardiology, and Critical Care Units
- Collect, clean, and maintain equipment, including oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, and stretchers
- Assist with medical and safety alerts as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and nursing staff
- Provide backup support for the Security Department during security alert situations
Requirements:
- High School diploma preferred
- Some hospital experience preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and walk with objects weighing up to 200 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR certification required
