Oncology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ChristianaCare's Newark campus on the 6E Oncology Unit. This is a full-time flex position with 72 hours bi-weekly, working midnight shift with holidays and weekends per department guidelines.
About the Role:As an oncology nurse, you will work closely with hospitalists, oncologists, oncology nurse practitioners, and the oncology nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care. You will use your expertise to assess patients' physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and both patients' and families' knowledge of the disease and its treatment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

- Registered Nurse license.
- BSN required.
- BLS required.
- Registered Nurse with med/surg experience preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.
