Caregiver and Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Caregiver and Support Specialist to join our team at Open Arms Care Corporation. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Personal Care and Support: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Develop and Implement Individualized Support Plans: Work with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to create personalized support plans that meet their unique needs and goals.
- Assist with Daily Living Tasks: Help clients with meal preparation, household chores, and other daily tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Encourage Socialization and Community Involvement: Support clients in developing and maintaining social relationships, participating in community activities, and accessing local resources.
- Monitor and Report Client Progress: Document client progress, identify areas for improvement, and report any concerns or issues to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work with healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment: Ensure the physical and emotional safety of clients, staff, and visitors by following established safety protocols and reporting any incidents or concerns.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a focus on healthcare, social work, or a related field.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, with a clean driving record and ability to transport clients safely.
- Ability to Lift and Assist: The ability to lift and assist clients with mobility and transfer needs is essential, with a minimum of 50 pounds lifting capacity.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
