About Us

Prisma Health is a leading healthcare provider in the region, known for our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional service. Our Neuroscience and Stroke Unit is a 28-bed telemetry unit that provides care for neurosurgical patients, including craniotomy, fusions, and VP shunts, as well as patients suffering from disorders such as seizures and strokes.

Responsibilities

  • Collects data and completes nursing assessment utilizing appropriate area and/or age-specific standards/policies and tools.
  • Completes appropriate forms.
  • Assesses and recognizes subtle or actual changes in patients' status and patient response to intervention.
  • Identifies nursing priorities for patient plan of care based on nursing assessment and other data as appropriate.
  • Develops an individual plan of care based on the age and assessed needs of the patient.
  • Updates the plan based on changes in the patient's condition and communicates changes in the plan to other members of the team.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
  • One (1) year experience as a registered nurse.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
