Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patients, providing kind and caring service from initial triage through patient discharge. This role involves guiding patients through their visits and carrying out provider orders according to established procedures.
Responsibilities- Greet patients, verify identity, and explain procedures to be performed.
- Take vital signs, prepare equipment, and aid providers during treatment and examination.
- Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or providers as needed.
- Conduct provider referrals and service pre-certifications as required.
- Document nursing history and physical assessments, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting or MA experience required.
