Position Summary

TEKsystems is seeking a qualified candidate for a critical role in IT support and deployment. This position will require some overnight travel as part of the responsibilities.


The ideal candidate will possess robust desktop support expertise and a proven track record in executing device rollout initiatives for a major player in the oil and gas sector.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead an IT team in planning and executing deployment projects
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain effective communication
  • Demonstrate strong desktop support skills, including software troubleshooting, particularly with Windows 10, upgrades, and feature updates
  • Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications
  • Handle hardware installation and troubleshooting tasks

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in project leadership and task organization
  • Proficient in iPad setup and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of network communications
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies
  • Experience in racking and stacking equipment
  • Knowledge of cable installation (Cat5, Cat6, Fiber, etc.)

Role Overview

Our client has recently expanded its asset portfolio and is initiating a project to deploy enterprise devices across various locations. Currently, efforts are focused on deploying devices in collaboration with IT staff members. The selected candidate will learn the deployment process and subsequently extend the project to additional field sites.


This position will engage with IT Field Operations personnel at various locations.


Contract Details

This is a contract position with the potential for conversion or advancement within the organization.
