Job Summary

As a Visual Merchandising Director at Jo-Ann Stores, LLC, you will be responsible for overseeing all areas of visual merchandising and in-store marketing. Your goal will be to ensure every customer has an exceptional and inspirational experience in our stores. This includes creating a visually appealing store environment, developing and implementing visual merchandising strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive sales and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
~ Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies that drive sales and customer engagement
~ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a cohesive brand experience
~ Analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform visual merchandising decisions
~ Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of visual merchandising materials

Requirements
~ Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
~ 10+ years of experience in a comparable retail role with corporate-wide scope/perspective
~ Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and practices
~ Excellent communication and project management skills

Working Conditions
This role requires in-person attendance 4 days a week at the Store Support Center (SSC) located in Hudson, OH. Flexibility to work remotely when requested is determined by management and business needs. Sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods while maintaining focus and productivity. Move around an office space and between buildings on a large campus, including reaching for files, retail product, supplies, or equipment, as well as the ability to adapt to various workstation setups. Work standard business hours and extended hours as needed based on task and project demands. Utilization of all communication styles - written, verbal, electronic options. Lift and carry office supplies, documents, retail product or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds as needed for tasks such as organizing or setting up workstations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong passion for retail and embraces change. In-depth understanding of the buying cycle and retail calendars. Knowledge of the competitive landscape, stays current with market trends including fixture, merchandise, and signage. Demonstrated track record of success in driving incremental sales and profit. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills. Preferred background in JDA Space Planning, Floor Planning, CKB. MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
