Senior Accountant Job Description

Kranz Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing financial consulting advisory services to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include managing accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and accounts receivable. You will also be responsible for maintaining month-end account reconciliations and assisting the finance department with various activities. Additionally, you will assist with tax support, including sales and use tax, Delaware franchise tax, and unsecured property taxes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 4+ years of previous accounting experience, and proficiency with accounting and transaction systems. You will also have strong organizational skills, analytical skills, and responsive communication skills. Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable, including receiving invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders, routing for approvals and payment, and preparing weekly accounts payable listings.
  • Process payroll for our client companies, including all necessary journal entries.
  • Assist with cash management, including bank transaction activities, preparing a weekly cash forecasting report, and preparing cash transfer requests.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including receiving incoming checks and preparing weekly cash collections reports with aged receivables reports.
  • Maintain month-end account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Assist the finance department with various activities, including tax support and financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of previous accounting experience
  • Proficiency with accounting and transaction systems
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, and responsive communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
