SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The Warehouse Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the documentation and processing of customer orders for shipment. This role collaborates with Shippers and Customer Service Representatives to ensure efficient inbound and outbound deliveries while investigating and recommending solutions for any discrepancies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage inventory control by rectifying discrepancies and monitoring inventory locations. Conduct monthly raw material counts and cycle counts.
  • Update the freight card management system as necessary.
  • Supervise warehouse staff and drivers to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing contents with records such as manifests and invoices. Organize the daily schedule for all inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Monitor the shipping window, ensuring that correct documentation is provided to drivers and that they are assigned to the appropriate docking doors. Work closely with the warehouse team to facilitate timely loading and unloading of shipments.
  • Ensure all shipping Bills of Lading (BOL) are matched with corresponding paperwork and stored appropriately by customer name, delivery number, BOL number, and lot numbers.
  • Oversee outgoing shipments, preparing necessary documentation and scheduling for UPS, LTL, full truckload, and international shipments.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments and prepare paperwork in the system for scrap loads and raw materials.
  • Monitor customer orders by generating daily reports on printing, delivery, planning, and inventory aging. Collaborate with customer service and warehouse associates to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure compliance with FIFO practices among warehouse staff, including reserving products, printing pick slips, and maintaining proper documentation for loading.
  • Record shipment details such as weight, charges, space availability, and any damages or discrepancies for accurate reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Liaise with carrier representatives to provide shipping and delivery instructions for materials.
  • Transport materials to designated departments using equipment such as hand-held scanners and lift trucks.
  • Communicate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve issues related to damages, shortages, and nonconformance.
  • Assist Customer Service and Sales with inquiries regarding inventory, quotes, and dimensions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

RECEIVES:

  • All Monthly Recurrent Purchase Orders
  • All UPS and FedEx Packages, maintaining copies of packing slips
  • All Raw Materials including resin, preforms, pallets, and packaging materials
  • All LTL shipments.
  • Manage unreceiving and re-receiving items due to price changes or incorrect items.

AUTHORITY LEVEL:

Lead all shipping protocols and practices across operations.

EDUCATION:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse shipping environment.
