At Regency Integrated Health Services, we are committed to providing the highest level of care to our residents. As a RN Staff Development Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our nursing staff has the support and knowledge they need to deliver exceptional care.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced RN with a passion for education and training to join our team as a Staff Development Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive competency-based training programs that meet all pertinent regulatory requirements. You will also provide clinical education, preceptor programs, initial orientation, and annual retraining for all nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a competency-based training curriculum that meets all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and provide clinical education, preceptor programs, initial orientation, and annual retraining for all nursing staff.
  • Making rounds with nursing staff to observe, support, and identify areas where additional training may be required.
  • Participate in mock and state surveys, actively engaging and monitoring staff to ensure they are confident in answering surveyor's questions or assigned tasks.
  • Participate in interviews for clinical positions, coordinate with HR to review open needs and process new hires, and participate in employee retention and recognition committee.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by Regional Nurse Consultant.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of Texas required.
  • Experience in education or training is required.
  • Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to encourage staff and provide an environment that employees enjoy learning and training.
