Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Custodian to join our team at the Town of Barnstable. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the Hyannis Youth and Community Center, as well as other related work as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform semi-skilled manual work involving maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Hyannis Youth and Community Center.
  • Operate large and small machinery, including ice machines and power equipment.
  • Perform moderate physical labor and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, and prepare routine and special reports.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in maintenance and construction/industrial equipment operation.
  • Class D driver's license required.
  • Ability to obtain pesticide license within probationary period may be required.
Benefits

$1,825.20 bi-weekly, plus benefits.
