Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Quest Global. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for driving process excellence and improving producibility across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis of manufacturing non-conformances and related issues to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Lead and participate in problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis, to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
  • Develop and implement robust preventative and corrective actions to improve process capability and reduce production delays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, including cost analysis and material optimization.
  • Support the development of How-To's, Work Instructions, SOP's, and other inspection planning documents to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor and control the implementation of improvement actions, reporting effectiveness in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of different manufacturing processes, primarily metals.
  • Fully conversant in reading engineering and manufacturing drawings.
  • Expertise in interpreting GD&T standards (ASME Y 14.5, JES 161).
  • Knowledge of measurements system analysis (MSA) and hands-on experience with measuring and testing equipment.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis, problem-solving techniques, and tools.
  • Working knowledge of non-conformance management, containment procedures, and traceability techniques.
  • Awareness of aerospace and auto quality requirements (AS9100, OSHAS, TS 16949, various ISO).
Education and Qualifications
  • Graduate in a mechanical or manufacturing degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Background in quality management systems.
  • Green Belt+ certification in any quality initiative is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relatable manufacturing engineering experience.
Desired Profile
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites (Middletown, CT) and suppliers (domestic/global) up to 50% of the time.
  • Proactive approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
