Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Technician Sr A&P to join our team in GAC St. Louis.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, promoting a culture of quality and excellence.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Mechanical Team Lead, overseeing daily operations and ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
- Collaborate with the Inspection department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection requirements, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Identify and properly tag customer property, storing aircraft components and equipment securely and safely.
- Operate and supervise the use of specialized equipment, adhering to standard operating procedures and JSAs.
- Coordinate aircraft movement and assist in training new employees on computerized maintenance programs, SRMs, and IPC usage.
- Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.
- Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to correct work orders and item numbers.
- Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain a clean and organized work environment, properly disposing of waste and hazardous materials.
- Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage areas after use.
- In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
- Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, and structural repair manuals.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
