About the Role:
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Technician Sr A&P to join our team in St. Louis. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Maintenance and Servicing: Conduct required periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, ensuring consistent performance within quoted or standard CMP time.
- Lead and Direct: Provide work direction for assigned technicians, promoting high standards of quality through instruction and example setting.
- Act as Team Lead: Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Team Lead in their absence, coordinating with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate Aircraft Movement: Coordinate the movement of aircraft as required, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Train and Develop: Assist in training new employees on computerized maintenance program (CMP) maintenance manuals, SRMs illustrated parts catalog (IPC) usage, flight test installations, and all maintenance of major components.
- Implement Lean Initiatives: Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered, properly collecting and disposing of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags.
Requirements:
- Advanced Knowledge: Possess advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems within each aircraft product line.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.
- Regulatory Compliance: Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
