Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Virtual Accountant Specialist for a well-regarded supply chain organization that prides itself on its strong cultural values and competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process, which includes preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and reviewing income and expense accounts.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of accounting policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations by reviewing existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 3+ years in an accounting role, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
  • Experience in preparing journal entries and managing the general ledger.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
