We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research and Development Manager to lead our team in developing and implementing innovative solutions for our business.
As a Research and Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the preparation of statistical exhibits used for analyses and supporting different business departments, including Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, and Advertising. You will also develop, recommend, and implement product development strategies for assigned products, manage and create new models, reports, and data pulls, and lead and coordinate projects that require involvement from multiple functional departments within GEICO.
You will be responsible for managing the activities of Research and Development Analysts and must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. You must also be able to multi-task, learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Requirements include a PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research, or related quantitative and analytics fields. A minimum of 2 years of management experience is strongly preferred, as well as SAS SQL knowledge, cloud database knowledge, proficiency in R (Python will be a plus), and proficiency in Excel v-look-up, pivot tables, charts, and graphing.
