Your role as a Senior Engineering Manager will be to lead a full-stack, mobile-focused team in expanding ClassPass into new geographies and verticals.

You will be responsible for guiding the team towards a long-term technical vision, while also being experiment-driven and data-oriented.

You will work closely with the team to identify and solve complex technical problems, and ensure that the best software is created through collaboration and iteration.

You will likely spend time working on:

  • Empowering your engineering team to deliver high-quality technical solutions and business impact.
  • Recruiting and managing a diverse team of engineers who are amongst the best in the industry.
  • Developing the careers of engineers with stretch responsibilities and excellent feedback.
  • Contributing to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of ClassPass' engineering management team.

About the ideal team member:

You are an experienced engineer turned successful people leader who is passionate about creating impactful and high-quality mobile applications.

You have deep experience in at least one aspect of developing a world-class mobile application and can manage a high-performing team through the entire process.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of directly managing a full-stack engineering team of at least 6 people.
  • Experience shipping high-quality websites or mobile applications.
  • Established architecture and best practices for web or mobile applications and their backends.
  • Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop, and execute.

  • AWS (ECS, RDS, OpenSearch, and more)
  • Modern mobile app development (Swift/SwiftUI, Android/Jetpack Compose)
