Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and uphold safety and health protocols in alignment with corporate, state, federal, and local regulations as well as contract specifications.
  • Encourage the adoption of occupational safety programs and practices across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of compliance with OSHA standards throughout the company.
  • Oversee the safety audit program for field and construction sites to ensure adherence to various contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Support site-level integration efforts to address safety, quality, health, and environmental concerns.
  • Provide expert guidance to management and staff regarding safety and health contract obligations.
  • Coordinate thorough investigations of incidents involving injuries, property damage, and vehicle accidents to identify root causes.
  • Conduct specialized evaluations and internal safety audits to assess compliance.
  • Compile and present reports on audit findings, recommending corrective actions and ensuring follow-up.
  • Manage safety operations for field and construction activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

Compliance with Procedures: Employees are required to understand and implement all operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements relevant to their roles.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of the 30-hour OSHA general industry training.
  • Certification as a practitioner from a recognized safety certification body.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Capability to analyze and interpret various documents, including business reports and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts applicable to safety and compliance.
  • Familiarity with common business software applications.
  • Additional certifications in the safety field are advantageous.
