The Lake Charles Event Center, managed by ASM Global, is seeking a part-time Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting our Food and Beverage department with various tasks, including catering, banquet, and concessions activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless client events by conducting thorough checks on food standards, room setup, and timely service.
  • Assist the F&B management team in monitoring and managing staff to ensure adherence to ASM Global and Lake Charles Event Center HR policies and procedures.
  • Resolve client concerns promptly and effectively before and during events.
  • Collaborate with the F&B management team to create and manage staffing assignments for banquets and catered events.
  • Train staff to Lake Charles Event Center standards for catering and concessions services and HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper inventory of bars during events.
  • Prepare and distribute banquet event orders to all departments as required.
  • Process banquet event orders, monitor changes, client requests, and special needs.
  • Monitor catering events from start to finish.
  • Assist with event reports and check-ins.
Requirements:
  • Two to four years of hospitality management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to pass background and references checks.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
