Job Summary

The Meat Service Counter Clerk is an hourly position that may be part-time or full-time. The shift to be worked will vary, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Assist guests with locating items on or off the sales floor, receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and other special requests, address guest concerns and resolve issues by practicing the boomerang principal.
  • Product Quality Control: Ensure high standards of product quality control by inspecting, rotating, maintaining proper temperatures, and replenishing all meat products on display.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels in the Meat Department (containers, wraps, tags, etc.).
  • Food Safety: Maintain food safety logs and lead by example through following.
  • Cleanliness: Contribute to overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as needed.
  • Pricing and Labeling: Ensure accurate pricing by placing the corresponding price and ingredient labels on each package.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel.
  • Teamwork: Support teammates and positively contribute to the culture of the Meat Department.
  • Safety Knowledge: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to work at a fast pace, full range of upper body motion, lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, and may be exposed to extreme temperatures.
