Job Summary:

Samba Care is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team as a travel CT Technologist. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images, adhering to strict safety protocols
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records
  • Organizing daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of radiology principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
