About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our team at Diedre Moire Corp. as a Habitational Property Risk Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing risks associated with commercial properties, including apartment buildings, hotels, motels, and other types of habitational properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a book of business by identifying areas of opportunity for improved growth, profit, and diversification.
  • Evaluate businesses applying for insurance, including assessing risks and determining premium, policy terms, and conditions.
  • Recommend quality exceptions to maximize profitability and meet business plans.
  • Create and present proposals to agents or brokers, obtain approval, and successfully negotiate deals.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with Agents and Brokers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in commercial property and casualty insurance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $175,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement.
