Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an Assistant Teacher. As a key member of our educational team, you will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to create engaging programs, manage the classroom, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement age-appropriate lesson plans and develop a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through interactive activities, games, and exercises that promote learning and growth.
  • Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe and clean learning environment that fosters creativity and exploration.
  • Supervise and provide individualized support to children, ensuring their needs are met and they feel valued and respected.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and activities, building strong relationships and fostering a sense of community.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the well-being of our students and staff.
  • Support routine child care tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment that encourages growth and development.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
  • Shows empathy and compassion for young children and a willingness to support their needs.
  • Works productively without supervision and demonstrates a high level of independence.
  • Basic understanding of child development and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
