Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams, assisting with needle localizations and breast biopsies, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography exams, including positioning patients and evaluating images for optimal quality
  • Assist with needle localizations and breast biopsies, ensuring radiation safety and following department policies
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, with a focus on quality service and patient care
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field
  • ARRT certification in Mammography (or willingness to obtain within 1 year)
  • Experience in mammography or related field (preferably 2 years)
  • ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license
Preferred Skills
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adapt to changes in work volumes
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, and safely transfer patients without assistance
