Job Title: Swim Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at Goldfish Swim School Sarpy County. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students of all ages and skill levels how to swim and water safety skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach swim lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
  • Evaluate students' progress and complete required paperwork
  • Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students' swim skills
  • Act as a GSS ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction
  • Use problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
  • Inspect pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness, or damage issues
  • Report issues to management as appropriate
  • Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment
  • Perform Deck Teacher duties as needed
  • Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal, etc. on occasion
  • Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
Requirements:
  • Ability to work with children
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Must pass background examinations (included with training)
Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Hours of Operations:

We are looking to fill Wednesday and Thursday morning shifts. Our hours of operation are:

  • Monday: 3:50pm - 8:00pm (starting January 2024)
  • Tuesday: 3:50pm - 8:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:50am - 12:30pm | 3:50pm - 8:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:50am - 12:30pm | 3:50pm - 8:00pm
  • Friday: closed
  • Saturday/Sunday: 8:50am - 12:30pm | potentially 12:30pm - 4:00pm

Each Goldfish Swim School is an independently owned and operated franchise. The respective Franchisee is the employer at each Goldfish Swim School location. Each franchisee can set their own wages, benefit programs, and terms and conditions of employment, which may vary at each Goldfish Swim School location.
