Key Carrier Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Key Carrier to join our team at HomeSense. As a Key Carrier, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall operation of the store, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.
This is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role, where you will alternate between performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally taking on a leadership role as Key Carrier. You will be responsible for creating a positive internal and external customer experience, promoting a culture of honesty and integrity, and maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policy and procedure
- Ensure store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritize as needed
- Address immediate customer service issues and provide coaching to Associates
- Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
- Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
- Ensure Associates adhere to all operational procedures
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provide progress updates
- Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
- Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Promote credit and loyalty programs
- Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
- Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Able to effectively coach, delegate, and follow-up on multiple people/tasks
- Able to act quickly under challenging circumstances
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience
We offer a competitive salary range of $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
