Position Overview:
An Electrical-focused Maintenance Technician is sought by a thriving manufacturing organization. This role is pivotal in supporting the engineering team and ensuring optimal operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver prompt engineering support to the manufacturing unit, enhancing machine uptime, reliability, safety, and product quality.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance as per the PPM framework.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical issues across all production machinery and auxiliary systems.
  • Oversee and fine-tune equipment to uphold quality standards.
  • Document and track maintenance requests and repair activities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on both reactive and preventive maintenance.
  • A recognized electrical qualification, such as a completed apprenticeship or relevant certifications.
  • Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles.
  • A solid understanding of PLC and computerized control systems.
  • Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety regulations.

Desirable Skills:
While not mandatory, the following skills would be advantageous:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience in welding techniques, including MIG and TIG.

Work Schedule:
The position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM, with a half-hour lunch break. Flexibility in hours may be negotiated.

Compensation:
The basic salary for this role is competitive, with additional overtime premiums applicable for extra hours worked during the week.
