Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with patients to gather necessary information for processing prescriptions, refills, and insurance benefits, fostering strong and lasting customer relationships.
  • Investigate and confirm benefits for pharmacy and medical claims for assigned cases, collaborating with financial assistance teams as needed.
  • Manage prior authorization requests, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate submission of treatment regimens.
  • Facilitate the appeals process between patients, physicians, and insurance providers, crafting clinical appeal letters based on specific denial reasons.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is collected prior to submission of appeals and coordinate with patient and physician offices.
  • Monitor the status of prior authorizations and appeals, keeping patients informed throughout the process.
  • Address and escalate service issues related to authorizations or financial assistance to ensure patient access to therapies.
  • Conduct assessments required by manufacturer contracts and assist with patient enrollment in necessary programs.
  • Communicate with patients regarding financial assistance options and community resources, following up on application statuses.
  • Advocate for patients by expediting requests and tracking application progress.
