Job DescriptionMedical Assistant Role at Ketamine SLC

At Ketamine SLC, we are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical staff in delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care and treatment, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery of services.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures, maintaining accurate records of vital signs and medical history.
  • Ensure patient medical information is accurately entered into our electronic medical records system.
  • Act as a chaperone for healthcare providers during patient examinations and assist with procedures as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain patient examination rooms and equipment, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
  • Complete assigned tasks, including instrument cleaning and preparation, patient room cleaning and stocking, and other clinic-wide duties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering telephones, forwarding messages, and scheduling appointments and procedures.
  • Assist with routine clerical functions, including filing medical information, locating and compiling charts, and obtaining medical records from other providers.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions, including infection control, safety, CPR, and clinic policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • May assist with patient and family education, providing educational materials and general health information as needed.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or current certification as an EMT-Intermediate.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card or obtain one within one month of hire.
  • Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skills must be demonstrated within six weeks of hire.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Must pass postoffer, preemployment background check and drug test.

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) (accepted)
